I am so so sorry!

I'm so sorry you don't even...anyway, in sort, I'm sorry for not posting for months. Been going through some tough shizz lately. Anyway there are so many things I want to post about before I have to go back to school and exams but I can't do them all in one post because that would be stupid and crazy.
I was actually seriously considering giving up on this blog (gasp) because I doubt anybody actually cares about it or reads it?
So lately the picture above has been the way I'm feeling about this blog. Literally, "Hello? Is anybody there?" This has been a question playing on my mind for some time. Does anybody actually read this? Does anybody actually care? PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF HOUSE ELVES TELL ME IF YOU'RE HERE AND READING THIS.
Well, now that's out there, this book is actually really good! I love Jostein Gaarder and personally I think he is one of the best modern authors of our time. Of course, that's only my personal opinion but if you want to see for yourself GO READ HIS FRIGGING BOOKS! Seriously try it. Or I might get mad. Grr.
To the people who ARE reading this, what shall I write about on here. I have lots of ideas at the moment but I bet you they'll only last a few posts and then we'll be back to months of waiting and no posts. And these will be sad times, my friends, I assure you.
Sorry (again) I've started rambling....But that is all I have to say for now. Remember:
  • I really am sorry
  • I willl be posting a lot more now
  • GO READ JOSTEIN GAARDER BOOKS
  • Pleasepleaseplease send me your ideas, questions, queries, pictures, ANYTHING so I can make this blog better.
  • And if you're out there and reading this, pleasepleaseplease let me know.

Ethereal Mermaids and Plum

So, yesterday me and my family went shopping in a little village and went into a charity/thrift/discount type shop (that turned out to be quite expensive). Well, I went into the first room of the shop and it was filled with tweed bags, baths salts, foot cream and the odd beige, nylon skirt. As you've probably guessed I wrote it off as a "granny needs a present" store and just kind of sat there staring at an assortment of 3 metre lace (which I bought for art and adding to boring tops etc) when (dun dun dun) I looked and saw a second room. Out of sheer curiosity and nosiness I left my family and went in. It was like an extremely organised Aladdin's cave of clothes and I was in my element! In particular, I saw a wonderful blue skirt which reminded me of a kinda ethereal mermaid or a pretty fishing net. There was also a great cardigan (I can't find a picture so good ol' description will have to do) that was also a wonderful blue but it had a plum coloured lace trim going around  the neckline. I didn't by the skirt and cardigan (unfortunately) but instead I dreamt about wearing them with my plum coloured leggings and sitting by rock pools. In conclusion, I think plum and light blue look especially etherealish together for autumn and winter.

This is just plain stupid

Its plain stupid that I haven't published for so long but....whoop! My exams finished and I refused to do any work until now. My results will be posted to me on Tuesday. Oh the joy of opening ominous brown envelopes that enclose your fate and University preference. I can almost hear the faint cackle of those who marked my maths exam.
So, as promised by a confessed protagonist, here are the pictures of when I did a "casualish marriage" look for William and Kate's Wedding. I'm not a die-hard royalist or anything but I never get a chance to dress up much so I thought "you know what? I like lace and pearls and shizz so what's wrong with wearing them on the day that  K&W tie the knot?". And these were the results...

Picture one-a close-up of my dress and cardigan. Both white. Picture two-close up on the neckline of the dress. The pearls are plastic but look nice anyways. The dress is from Goose Island. Picture three-these are just some fake plastic tulips I traipsed around with for effect. Picture four-close up of the cardigan. Its very nice but you shouldn't wear it for warmth-crochet doesn't do that well. Its from Topshop and I love it a bit too much. I find it gives me that jelly-and-ice-cream-oh-I-do-like-to-be-beside-the-seaside kind of feel.
In the meantime, I've been spending my summer thinking about how much I love autumn and wearing tights with manly boots. And also how irritating it is having emetophobia that helpfully links itself with panic attacks and indigestion. Google it. And also, I've been shopping around in little boutiques and found lots of great websites which I will post on here. Enjoy the rest of summer or whatever season it is where you are!

shopruche.com

This site was recommended to me by one of my Polyvore contacts. It is similar to Modcloth except a little bit less quirky and more classic vintage. The site is beautiful with sketches of butterflies and birds all over the place. The photography used in the lookbook or to display the jewelry is extremely cute and completely inspiring, especially to me as I'm starting to become a budding photographer! The only irritating thing, is that this is an American based website and so I can't get any of the clothes in the UK. Bad times...Believe me if I could, I would be posting never ending pictures of me wearing the clothes because they are so beautiful. I should really be revising for my Maths and Welsh exams tomorrow but This Morning is  on and I love it! I don't even know why....probably because Chris O'Dowd is being interviewed.
By the way, I am going to take the pictures of my wedding outfit today in one of my breaks!

Sorry and Thank you...

Wow! I can't believe its been over a month since my last post! Sorry everybody...I've been so busy recently with exams and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Plus, all the Polyvore sets I thought I'd posted on here have gone. Keep your eyes open....they should turn up shortly!
Also a BIG thank you to my readers! Never thought I'd be this popular. Its great to hear suggestions of blog posts and answer your questions and stuff.
So the weather is boiling hot today-seriously weird for Welsh weather! And I've started to get my summer clothes out. Unfortunately, my outfit today isn't the most original, just a tank top and shorts although I am planning on putting on a very pretty vintage sun hat with a big lacy bow when I go out for a walk later. Nice to take a break after revising. I HATE revision so much!
Also, sorry for not posting the Royal Wedding pictures. They'll also be coming up as quickly as possible!
If possible, there will also be some posts and sets about 60s fashion as a new series of The Royal is out on Sunday and its going to be getting me all nostalgic.
Thanks and Sorry again Everybody!

The Royal Wedding

Right now I am sitting down in my living room with the rest of my family watching the Royal Wedding in Westminster Abbey. Everybody looks spectacular especially Kate! We are not a family that follows the Royal Family but at nine o'clock this morning I got up and dressed myself in my very own wedding outfit. I'm wearing a lace dress with a pearl neckline and a white crochet bolero on top. I have stolen the ring from my Vera Wang Princess perfume bottle and it is sitting proudly on my finger, the purple-ish jewels matching my nail varnish, and I'm carrying a bouquet of white tulips. My hair is half up half down with pearl beads dotted in it and a plait on the top of my head in a Swedish-like style. I will post pictures later, after I have taken them! Happy Royal Wedding Day!
